I've had Dancing Queen stuck in my head for about a week. Except I change 'dancing' for 'canning'. I am such a dork. But aren't the results beautiful?I made Spiced Plum Butter, from my new favourite book, last night. It is gorgeous, isn't it?
On Saturday, I made ground cherry jam with the ground cherries from our CSA basket.
My name is Sherrie, and I'm a canning addict.
Edited to add: the ground cherry jam recipe I used is here.
It's the best kind of addict to be! :) They're so pretty and yummy looking.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Teresa! :)
ReplyDeleteThose jars are lovely, I am certain that they are amazingly tasty as well!
ReplyDeleteI came here via your Birch Bark soap blog, you are a very interesting creative person.
I was looking for the order site for some of your soap, particularly the type with cedar wood & white willow bark. My husband has extremely bad psoriasis and I noticed that the lotions that helped control the problem best all contained white willow bark. So I thought that if he had a soap/shower gel type thing that contained white willow bark it might more effective. I like to cook/can as well but have never made soaps before (though I have done lotions, incense and candles). My name is Sondra, my email is stardances@suddenlink.net
I am, as always, in awe of your many talents and beautiful foods. Canning is something I have only dabbled in as a novelty. The bug just hasn't bitten me hard enough (plus I have a giant freezer in my basement...)
ReplyDeleteAlso? Nothing that involves ABBA can be even remotely dorky. I said so. But I am a huge dork, so you might not want to listen to me. ;)
Hi Sherrie,
ReplyDeleteFound you through flickr. You are so inspiring.
